TRANSPORTING OF YOUNG PERSONS TO MATCHES AND TRAINING SESSIONS
This Club has adopted the following policy regarding transporting of young persons (under
18) when playing open age Cricket.
In all cases parents/carers should be encouraged to provide transport for their
children whenever required. However the Club realises that this is not always
possible, and believes that no young person should be disadvantaged by a lack of
Where a young person does require transport to an event, this transport must be
provided by a Club member who has a current and satisfactory DBS certificate. All
Club Code of Conduct requirements concerning both senior and junior members
must be observed at all times.
Prior to leaving for an event parents/carers must be made aware of the event venue,
have contact phone numbers and an estimated return time from the event. Any
changes to the return time must be advised to the parent/carer.
Club members transporting a young person should, wherever possible, also travel
with another adult.
Club members transporting a young person should make themselves aware of any
medical conditions relating to their passenger.
Parents and carers of youth players travelling with senior club members must be
given a copy of this policy document, and must acknowledge receipt of it.
Copies of this document must be clearly displayed on the Club notice board.
